Labor Day may have come and gone, but the events keep rolling on in Ocean City. This weekend’s lineup features classic cars galore and the music of Under the Streetlamp, featuring former Jersey Boys cast members, performing alongside the Ocean City Pops.
Street Rod Weekend (Sept. 7 and 8)
This weekend, a bevy of classic cars will be rolling into town for the popular Street Rod Weekend. On Friday, September 7, check-in and registration will take place at the Ocean City Tabernacle, located at 550 Wesley Avenue, from 2–5:30 p.m. If you miss the registration on Friday afternoon, don’t worry, as registration continues on Saturday, September 8, from 8–11 a.m. Classic car owners who wish to have their autos judged must be registered by 11 a.m. on Saturday and the cars must be 1988 and older classic cars or street rods.
Classic car aficionados can enjoy the sights of these exceptional automobiles while they are on display at the Tabernacle grounds from 8 a.m.–noon. At noon, the automobile owners will take their cars up to the boardwalk, where they will be on display until 4 p.m. The awards ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. in front of the Ocean City Music Pier.
And, don’t miss the kick-off sock hop party on Friday evening from 6–7:30 p.m. at the Tabernacle, which will feature a family-friendly evening filled with dancing, games and more!
