Get Ready for First Night Festivities in Ocean City on New Year’s Eve

On New Year’s Eve, Ocean City will once again be hosting its famous First Night festivities at various locations throughout town.

From a performance from Disney Jr. Choo Choo Soul to live music by the Ocean City Pops to DJ and skateboarding at the Skate Park, First Night in Ocean City offers entertainment options certain to appeal to the whole family. View the entire schedule online via the Ocean City website and figure out which activities will be on your to-do list for the evening.

The kickoff to the First Night fun will begin at 3:45 p.m. at the Music Pier with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting event and then various activities will start to unfold at different locations around town. Throughout the evening, head over to each location for specific, family-friendly activities being held at each spot. The evening’s fun culminates with a jaw-dropping fireworks display launched from 5th Street beach at midnight.

And, getting to and from each activity around Ocean City is easy as can be, as there will be jitney service starting at 5 p.m.

First Night buttons are $20 per person and allow individuals to gain entry into all of the First Night activities. Buttons are now available online, as well as at the City Hall Welcome Center at 9th Street and Asbury Avenue, the Roy Gillian Welcome Center on the 9th Street  causeway and the 46th Street Welcome Center at 46th Street and West Avenue.
