As we sadly say goodbye to some area restaurants, try not to be too upset, as we’ll be welcoming in some new dining options as well. The latest information to come in regarding new dining offerings relates to The Soup Bar, set to open at 34th Street and West Avenue in the coming months.
The Soup Bar will be conveniently located in the space next to Hoy’s 5 & 10 at 34th Street. Although new to a brick-and-mortar spot, The Soup Bar is not entirely new. Executive chef Eddie McGaurn has been offering delectable soup creations on a delivery basis for many Ocean City area residents and the soups and crab cakes were also available in vendor spots at the Flying Feather Farm Market in Moorestown and the Burlington County Agricultural Center.
Now, with The Soup Bar opening up in a permanent location, Chef Eddie will be able to expand his offerings and dish out his spectacular culinary specialties to the Ocean City dining crowd on a continual basis. Some of the past offerings The Soup Bar has made available, and ones you may just see grace the new menu, include crab bisque, cioppino, lemon chicken orzo soup, chicken pot pie soup, and Chef Eddie’s highly applauded jumbo lump crab cakes.
Craving some sensational soup and crab cakes right now? The Soup Bar will be delivering to Ocean City six days a week until the permanent location opens. Visit the website and Facebook page for more information, including soup specialties of the week.
Stay tuned for an opening date and get ready to add another soon-to-be-favorite dining spot to your Ocean City restaurant list!
