Ocean City keeps rolling out the seasonal fun and the annual Christmas parade is a pivotal part of this exciting time.
The annual event unfolds this evening, Friday, December 6, beginning at 6 p.m. Parade participants will lead off the festivities at 6th Street and Asbury Avenue. Spectators will line both sides of Asbury Avenue to watch the floats, bands, and other holiday-themed participants pass by until they reach the end of the parade route at 11th Street.
With more than 65 participants on the schedule, parade-goers will have plenty of holiday visuals to enjoy. In addition to a wide array of marchers and floats, keep an eye out for Santa who will be at the end of the procession in a horse-drawn carriage. Parade participants will include the Ocean City High School Band, Wildwood High School Band, the state champion girls’ soccer team from Ocean City High School, the Ocean City Theatre Company, and the reigning Little Miss, Junior Miss, and Miss Ocean City title holders. The Upper Township school choir will also treat spectators to holiday songs in front of City Hall.
And, the evening fun doesn’t just have to involve the Christmas parade (although this is a pretty awesome event!). Start or finish the holiday-inspired evening with dinner or a beverage at one of the spectacular restaurants in town.
